Education :

Strathclyde University, Scotland. Bachelor of Science in Technology and Business.

What other professions have you tried? :

I spent the first 24 years of my professional life in manufacturing. I have always had a passion for making things and I was fortunate enough to have exposure to all areas of business, from finance, legal, operations, project management, M&A and business startup. As CEO of a multi site and multi country business the most satisfying part of working was experiencing different cultures but always seeing first hand the tremendous value of people, regardless of country, language or culture.

Why did you choose insurance as your profession? :

After choosing to move on from manufacturing it was more of a question of who would I like to work for rather than what profession would I like to work in. Regardless I wanted to know that the work I did brought long term meaningful value to me and our clients, insurance offered a great opportunity to find this fulfilling work.

Why Henriott? :

No question, Gary Henriott. It was absolutely critical to me that I had the opportunity to be mentored by the pinnacle selfless leadership. Gary embodies all aspects of a human being that I aspire to be everyday.

What was your all-time best Halloween costume? :

I was a TV, none of that flat screen stuff, old school box with rabbit ears.

What is the one dish you absolutely, positively will never, ever eat? :

Puffer fish, they tried to get me to eat it in China - no thank you!!
